Hormonal imbalance could make an individual’s life unpleasant, and for women, it means a lot when they are at child bearing age.
This hormonal imbalance issue is an experience Bola does not like to remember.
However, she chose to share with So Healthy since she had two babies to show for her years of pain caused by her mother-in-law.
Her mother-in-law wanted a grand-child, but never considered that times have changed.
‘High Prolactin Level’
She does not want to come to terms with the fact that women and men suffer a lot these days just to earn a living and keep the family running.
This high-activity-level takes its toll on the health of the individuals who engage in it, but the woman will not understand.
Bola had checked her hormonal profile few months into their marriage, and was shocked over what a doctor told her.
“You cannot conceive with the high Prolactin level that is showing in your hormonal profiling result,” the gyneacologist said. These words have continued to torment her.
She had noticed that her breast was secreting milk even when she was not breastfeeding or pregnant.
After the profiling, a few drugs were handed to her to address the issue.
She continued her daily lifestyle which was too stressful for her and the drug was doing little or nothing to resolve the issue.
Days slipped to weeks, and months and then years, as she continued to hope on God for a miracle.
Her worries rose the morning she heard her mother-in-law’s conversation with her husband.
“You cannot marry a man and still brag that you have a wife,” she heard her scream at her son.
She could tell that the heat was mounting on her husband and that she needed to do something about it, before everything crumbles.

Hormones are chemicals produced by glands in the endocrine system.
