Ingredients For Beef Dodo:

  • 1 pound (0.45kg) beef, sliced
  • 2 ripe plantains, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves (optional), minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

How To Prepare Beef Dodo

1.     Begin the preparation of your beef dodo by seasoning the sliced beef with salt and pepper. You may need to boil it till it is soft.

Also add your natural seasoning.

If you can, use sea salt to season your meat and make sure you do not add much.

2.     Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

3.     Add the sliced beef to the pan and fry until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

4.   Now, it is time to add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

5.     Afterwards, add the chopped red and green bell peppers to the pan. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure it does not burn.

6.     Remove the beef and pepper mixture from the pan and set aside. Your beef dodo is gradually getting ready.


7.     In the same pan, fry the sliced plantains until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

8.     Pour the beef into the pan with the dodo and turn for few minutes.
