According to the study, the results demonstrate that the seed has gastroprotective activity.

In Nigeria, some researchers gave rats very high doses of avocado seed extract over 28 days.



At the end of the study, they concluded that there no harmful effects were observed (6).

Also, another animal study says avocado seed extract showed no toxicity when ingested in concentrations up to 227 mg per pound (500 mg per kg) of body weight per day (7).

However, it is important to note that this is a very high dose of avocado seed. It is not advisable that you go beyond the earlier recommendation quantity.
