Developed by Landrum B. Shettles in the 1960s, the study suggests that a couple must consider different variables to determine if they want to have a boy or a girl.

Timing of Intercourse
Shettles considered the timing of intercourse and he suggests that “to have a boy, insemination should occur as close as possible to the moment of ovulation.
